After Typhoon Ragasa, this commitment was once again demonstrated when the management and all employees stood together, overcoming challenges, supporting one another, and stabilizing both life and work.
Below is a heartfelt message shared by a YKK Vietnam employee after experiencing Typhoon Ragasa with colleagues:
“Putting People Above All in the Face of Challenges – that is what I truly felt after the recent Typhoon Ragasa.”
Another storm has passed. Typhoon Ragasa has weakened and dissipated. Every approaching storm always brings with it worries and uncertainties. Fortunately, this storm has subsided without serious damage. But even more fortunately, I am working in a place where the safety of every employee is always placed above all else.
On one side are the pressures of deadlines, productivity, and costs. On the other side is the safety of thousands of employees facing unpredictable natural disasters. The Management has made a clear choice: people come first.
Yesterday, while Ragasa was still raging far out at sea, we felt a sense of peace. That peace did not come from a calm sky, but from the trust that every decision here places workers’ safety above all else.
Natural disasters may strike unexpectedly, but the way we respond to adversity reflects the true values and strength of a company. I am proud to work in a place that not only produces excellent products but also builds trust and shelter for each person.
We wish everyone peace and safety. For even though many storms still lie ahead, we can always find a solid shelter—the genuine care that Board of Director extend to us.
