On the morning of October 4, at the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, representatives of the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee received 1 billion VND in support of people to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 from YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd., Ha Nam Branch.
On behalf of YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Nagano Kentaro, Factory Director of YKK Ha Nam Branch Co., Ltd., presented a symbolic plaque of VND 1 billion that the company donated to the people affected by storm No. 3.
Speaking at the donation ceremony, Mr. Nagano Kentaro shared that he has worked in Vietnam for 15 years and this is the first time he has witnessed such a strong and destructive storm in Northern Vietnam. The consequences of the storm not only caused human casualties but also many public infrastructure works, houses, etc. were damaged. Seeing the people exhausted by the storm and flood through the media, he felt very sympathetic and wanted to share some of those losses, and at the same time, together with the company’s leadership, fulfill their social responsibility to the government and people of Ha Nam in particular and the people of Vietnam in general. Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support and assist people affected by natural disasters to overcome the consequences of recent storms and floods, the company has allocated 1.5 billion VND for this activity. Of which, YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd., Dong Nai Branch has allocated 500 million VND to the Dong Nai Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and 1 billion VND to the Ha Nam Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
Thanking the hearts of the Board of Directors and the collective of employees of the company, the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, on behalf of the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee, received the support and affirmed: YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. Ha Nam Branch as well as many other enterprises, organizations and individuals in the province have fulfilled their social responsibilities well, sharing the difficulties with the government and people of Ha Nam after storm No. 3. Storm No. 3 and its circulation caused Ha Nam to suffer losses of over 793 billion VND, of which the agricultural sector suffered the most damage. Currently, the province has received more than 12 billion VND in support from organizations, individuals and benefactors at home and abroad through the channel of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
