Community Service
The pillar of all YKK Group business activities has long been the CYCLE OF GOODNESS® philosophy, which embodies our belief that no one prospers without rendering benefit to others. We believe that the value of our existence as a company will be confirmed by the benefits we share with society, and as such do not take our responsibilities as a good corporate citizen lightly. All of our companies support their local communities in a variety of ways.
At YKK, we believe an enterprise is an important member of society, and as such, it must coexist with other elements of society. Its value will be recognized by the benefits it shares with society. Tadao Yoshida, YKK’s founder, carefully considered this need for mutual prosperity as he planned his business endeavors. He determined that contributions to society could best be achieved by the continual creation of value through innovative ideas and inventions.
YKK Việt Nam – Spread the spirit of sharing for the community
On November 7, 2025, responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vietnam – Ninh Binh Province to support people severely affected by tropical storms No.11 and No.12, YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd. – Dong Van Branch donated VND 200 million to assist local communities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and stabilizing their lives.
On behalf of Company’s Management Board, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hop – Planning department Assistant Manager, and Mr. Vu Duy Tuyn – Human Resources department’s Assistant Manager, attended the event and presented the donation.
In his remarks, Mr. Hop stated: At YKK, contributing to the community is one of our core corporate values. We sincerely hope that this small contribution will help local people recover from difficulties and rebuild their lives.
Sharing the same spirit, Mr. Tuyn emphasized: Beyond business activities, YKK Vietnam always strives to stand with local communities during challenging times, spreading compassion and social responsibility.
Such meaningful actions reaffirm YKK Vietnam’s long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to building a sustainable and compassionate society.
Contributing to Local Communities through Business and Social Activities
Join hands to support compatriots in typhoon No. 3 (Yagi typhoon). YKK Vietnam Co., Ltd., Dong Nai Branch has donated 500 million VND to the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, and 1 billion VND to the Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Nam province. Total value is 1.5 billion VND.

YKK Vietnam Supports Phuc Lam Love Shelter
On August 30, 2024, YKK Vietnam organized a meaningful charity day at Phuc Lam charity shelter. This is an annual event and the third consecutive year that the company has implemented the CSR program aligning to the group’s philosophy, the “Cycle of Goodness”. Director of YKK Vietnam Nhon Trach factory, Mr. Nagahata and representatives of the Trade Union Executive Committee actively participated, delivering a program that reflects YKK’s heart and dedication to the community.
Through this activity, YKK Vietnam hopes to make a small contribution in supporting the shelter in caring for underprivileged children, both physically and emotionally. The initiative goes beyond providing basic needs; more importantly, they believe that this care will serve as a stepping stone for the children to build a solid foundation for learning and development. As a result, the children will feel loved and gain motivation to overcome challenges and strive for a brighter future.
YKK Vietnam always strives to carry out many other meaningful CSR activities based on the “Circle of Goodness” that Mr. Yoshida Tadao, the founder of YKK Group, always cherished. We are committed to joining hands to create positive changes in society and light up hope for the less fortunate.

The YKK Group has established YKK Group Tree Planting Day on June 5 in conjunction with World Environment Day.

Aside from our business activities, and based on our Cycle of Goodness philosophy, YKK has been assisting our many local communities in the areas of education and community activities.
One example is our international exchange program. To be a good corporate citizen and to be continuously admired by our communities and society, YKK will continue to diligently support activities that contribute to cultural growth.
Stakeholder Dialogues
The YKK Group has hosted Stakeholder Dialogues annually since 2010 to provide a forum for the exchange of opinions.
YKK Center Park
As a corporate citizen and member of the community of Kurobe in Toyama Prefecture, Japan, the YKK Group wants to share its dreams and aspirations and move forward alongside the community. Thus, we created the YKK Center Park in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Group’s foundation. The park is a site where people can gather in wide open green spaces, learn from nature, and enjoy themselves all while getting to know YKK.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Successful Conclusion of the 2024 YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic
The 2024 edition of our region’s flagship CSR event, the YKK ASAO Kids Football Clinic (AKFC), concluded successfully in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from November 8th to 10th. This year marked the fourth time the event has been held in Vietnam and the third time in Ho Chi Minh City, featuring a three-day program in collaboration with the Real Madrid Foundation (RMF), the CSR arm of Real Madrid FC, with whom we have had a longstanding partnership.
A total of 264 underprivileged children participated in the kids’ clinic, while 12 YKK Vietnam employees and 32 local coaches from the VJSS Group attended the coaches’ clinic. We hope these coaches will continue to share the knowledge gained from RMF coaches with local children, thereby contributing to youth soccer development in Vietnam. To date, over 7,500 children and 800 local coaches across ASAO countries have had the opportunity to receive once-in-a-lifetime training with world-class professionals.
The YKK-RMF jerseys, incorporated the Vietnam national flag and the YKK Vietnam company name, highlighted the partnership’s support for this year’s event. Despite the challenging weather conditions, including intense sun and heavy rain, the sessions proved highly beneficial.
Both the children and coaches thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with the smiles on their faces serving as the main driving force behind our event.
YKK Vietnam’s Ngo Quyen High School Scholarship
Every year, YKK Vietnam will award thirty scholarships to students with excellent academic achievements at Ngo Quyen High School. This scholarship program empowers the students’ dreams and beliefs, providing them with increased motivation to advance their educational journey and future careers.
On 25th May 2024, Mr. Shota Natsui (Manager) visited the school on behalf of YKK Vietnam to award the scholarships directly to the excellent students. The school principal, Mr. Nghia expressed deep gratitude for the company’s contributions over the past two decades. The company will continue to participate in social and community activities as its commitment to the YKK philosophy.
