YKK Vietnam – Congratulations on the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS)
On December 14, 2024, at Vinpearl Nam Hoi An Resorts & Golf, the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) celebrated its 25th anniversary (1999 – 2024) and reviewed its activities for the year 2024. The event attracted around 500 guests, including leaders from various ministries, local authorities, leaders of the textile industry and VITAS over the years, international organizations, foreign textile associations, and member enterprises.
YKK Vietnam, one of the leading companies in the production of zippers and accessory products, warmly congratulated VITAS on this significant milestone. Over the past 25 years, VITAS has accompanied businesses in the textile industry, overcoming many difficulties and challenges, contributing significantly to the robust development of Vietnam’s textile industry.
Mr. Vu Duc Giang, Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, spoke at the anniversary celebration, emphasizing that 25 years is an important milestone marking the maturity and achievements of VITAS in the development of the industry. From an industry primarily serving domestic consumption needs, Vietnam’s textile industry has risen to become the third-largest exporter in the world, only behind China and Bangladesh.
YKK Vietnam is proud to be part of the Vietnamese textile community and is committed to continuing to accompany VITAS and businesses in the industry towards sustainable and prosperous development. With a workforce of over 3 million people, the textile industry not only contributes to the economy but also creates jobs, ensures income for workers, maintains social order and safety, and increases state budget revenue.
